The In-Vehicle Kit comes with a 12 in magnetic antenna that sticks to the roof of your vehicle and includes a cable that runs in through a door and attaches to the In-Vehicle Amplifier. It is powered using a 12V adapter that plugs into a cigarette lighter or 12V power port. The inside antenna connects to the inside antenna port on the amplifier and should be located close to where you typically use your phone. Will This Work For Me? The In-Vehicle Kit is our most powerful signal booster designed for use in a car, truck, or other similar vehicle. It will boost the signal for multiple phones and data devices at the same time.  When there is a medium strength outside signal, you'll be able to use your phone anywhere within 4 to 6 feet from the inside antenna.  In areas where the existing outside signal is very weak, your phone or data device will have to stay within 6 to 12 inches from the inside antenna to receive the boosted signal. For the strongest signal boosting possible, you can use the Cradle Plus as an inside antenna which will limit the system to one phone only, but that phone will get the strongest boosted signal possible and is ideal for locations with a very weak signal.  For this system to work, there must be some existing signal to boost so if you're in a complete deadzone with no service for miles around, it's likely that no signal booster will work. The In-Vehicle Kit improves the signals used for both voice calls and Internet access. In areas with a weak signal, the In-Vehicle Kit will reduce dropped calls, improve call clarity and increase Internet data speeds. For the strongest signal boosting possible, you can use the Cradle Plus as an inside antenna instead of the included slim antenna. To power the In-Vehicle Amplifier, you can use the included DC Power Adapter or the optional AC Power Adapter.  For a more permanent installation in your vehicle, you can use the hardwire power adapter. Installation Overview Installing the In-Vehicle Kit is very easy and because nothing is permanent, it can be moved from one vehicle to another. Mount the included outside antenna on the roof of the vehicle. Route the attached coax cable in through a door opening. To protect the cable, run it under the door seal. Connect the cable to the In-Vehicle Amplifier. Plug the included slim inside antenna into the Inside Antenna port on the amplifier. Then just plug in the included power adapter and connect it to the In-Vehicle Amplifier. When you place your phone near the inside antenna, you should see a stronger signal (it may take up to 30 seconds for your phone's signal strength display to update). If you already have a strong outside signal, you won't see any benefit from the In-Vehicle Kit so try it in a place where you typically have signal trouble.
